What picture frame molding is
Slim molding applied to the wall in framed rectangles, then painted so the wall and trim read as one surface. It adds architectural depth without adding bulk to the room.
Where it works best
Dining rooms, entries, stairwell walls, primary bedrooms and hallways. Panel proportions are laid out wall by wall around outlets, switches, windows and baseboard, never copied from a template.
